Corktown Commons:

Corktown Commons park is located at 155 Bayview Avenue Toronto. There is a high slide for the kids, from age 5 up to 12. There is also another slide for the kids who are under 4 years old.

There is also a splashpad, and sand to play in. My kids love the splashpad. Whenever we go, they do not want to leave! They even ask if we can sleep there. There is a small hill, and kids can take their scooters down the hill. There is also swings and a see-saw. The big green space is great for soccer or for tennis. There is also another area for dogs to play.

The park is very safe, there are clean washrooms and a very large green area to have a picnic. You can make a picnic with a blanket or a rug.

Here is what I took on my picnic:

  • Water
  • Juice
  • Wipes to sanitize hands
  • Cut fruits
  • Crackers
  • French fries
  • Salad
  • Dessert: cakes or cupcakes
  • Coffee or tea in a thermos

If you have your own grill, you can bring it to the park to use also.

We stay at the park for many hours. Summer is the best time to go but you can also go at any time of year.
